For immediate release
A top international CPD event being held in Miami has been opened up to vets and nurses in the UK and Ireland. Hill’s™ Global Symposiums are well established as significant events in the veterinary calendar and are attended by veterinary specialists from all over the world. This year the event on 27th and 28th April can be watched live, or via recordings until 30th June, allowing veterinary professionals to access talks by world-class experts in their fields. Registration is free at hillscpd.co.uk/bsava
The event offers an exciting opportunity to take part in an event offering free veterinary CPD that will be attended by thousands of vets and nurses from different countries and cultures. Sixteen international speakers will feature in the lecture programme, providing over 7 hours of CPD. Topics include the latest thinking on canine and feline obesity, joint disease, FLUTD and practice communication.
As the event starts at 8.30 am Miami time, UK professionals who wish to watch the live stream are asked to tune in at around 1.35 pm on Monday 27th April. The event will go on into the evening, before finishing around 9.15 pm UK time. The first day will cover canine obesity and degenerative joint disease in the morning with practice communication, social media and workforce demographic trends in the afternoon. On Tuesday the event will start at around 1.35 pm for the UK audience and concentrate on feline obesity and lower urinary tract disease.
With lectures running at around 30-45 minutes, vets and nurses will be able to dip in and out of the sessions, with the opportunity to fill in the gaps by watching recordings at a later date. The shorter sessions also allow recordings to be easily included in practice meetings, enabling the whole team to get a comprehensive overview of a topic.
Tim Dobbins is Hill’s™ Veterinary Affairs Manager for UK and Ireland, “We are very happy to be providing CPD of such a high international standard for free to vets and nurses. This event provides the quality of a global meeting and the flexibility of live and recorded sessions, meaning everyone should be able to access new information on a topic that interests them. It’s a first for Hill’s™ and a chance for us to celebrate that we are part of a global veterinary community and can open up opportunities for all.”
Registering for free at www.hillsglobalsymposium.com provides access both to the live event and recordings up until 30th June 2015.
Vets and nurses in the UK and Ireland can also now keep up to date with free CPD and other events available from Hill’s using dedicated social media professional platforms at www.facebook.com/hillsvetukie and on Twitter with @hillsukdn.
